What does the proposal process look like?
The first step is to complete this short online form, found HERE.
Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, we will contact you with our availability for your wedding date and set up a time for a phone consultation or an in-person consultation to get to know you and what you would like included in your proposal from WSF.
After our first consultation, we will create a custom proposal which you will receive as a link in an email from us. See a sample proposal below.
What is included in a proposal from WSF?
You will receive a link to a pdf that will include a detailed outline of each item, inspiration images, color palette, and flower selections. The proposal also includes the contract for your review. Below is a selection of a few pages from a sample proposal.
What does the booking process look like?
If you would like to move forward with WSF as your wedding florist, we ask that you e-sign the contract and remit a 20% retainer to hold your date on our calendar and your place on our schedule for that day.
We accent cash, check, and credit cards as payment. There is no additional fee for using a credit card.
You may still make revisions to your flower order after you have signed the contract and paid your retainer fee.
Your wedding flower order will be finalized three weeks before your wedding. At that point, your final payment will be due.
Do you have a minimum budget requirement?
For wedding orders that will be picked up in-store, there is no minimum.
For wedding orders that will be delivered via our retail flower shop delivery service, there is no minimum. (Must be within our normal delivery route and normal operating hours.)
There is a $2,000 minimum for weddings that are more than an hour away from our studio locations.
Do you offer packages?
Yes! Though most of our weddings and events start with a custom proposal, we do offer three packages. Each can be customized with colors and specific quantities of items needed for your wedding. Packages are available for weddings that are within the radius of our retail flower shops delivery area or if setup is required, must adhere to our minimums.

Do you rent out equipment?
We offer rental items for weddings and events that include floral design with set up included. We do not offer rental items for pick up or drop off only. Our rental stock includes structures, stands, glassware, candlesticks, candleholders, urns, vessels, compotes, etc.
Will you travel for my event?
Absolutely! The cost of travel will be included in the total of your proposal. Though we are not a destination wedding florist, we will travel typically a maximum of a four hour drive.

The foundation of WSF is built on generations of experience, solid skills and mechanics, and an innate passion for floral design. We are talented, reliable, resourceful, well-staffed, fully vaccinated, and well-insured. Our team of designers and support staff are phenomenally talented and dedicated. We operate a multi-vehicle fleet and own the property that houses our design facility and multiple cooler spaces. Our coolers are equipped with all the modern temperature controls and safeguards. We do all the responsible things necessary to ensure the best possible outcome.
Upon that foundation lives a passion for modern and stylish floral design. We take joy in designing the most current varieties and color palettes. We are constantly experimenting, learning, and growing. Wedding and event work is our haven for flexing all those skills, talents, passions, and experiencing the newest floral visions.
Ultimately, our goal is to use our experience, expertise, and talent to bring your vision for your wedding day to life. In the end, it’s not about us, it’s about you and how we can create for you.
Who is WSF?
Events by WSFloral is led by Jennifer Schuitema. Jennifer is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BBA. She has studied under Holly Heider Chapple, a world-renowned leader in floristry. Jennifer is also a member of the international organization of wedding floral designers, Chapel Designers.
Jennifer has a passion for modern floral design that is well executed in both style and technique. She is a mindful, well-rounded designer with decades of design experience.
Jennifer is supported by a team of on-staff floral designers, assistants, and drivers. WSF is a close-knit team who work together on a daily basis, year-round.
